Never miss a passport or insurance renewal again

When you photograph a document, ClearChive’s OCR and AI classification pull out the key fields automatically — including any expiry, renewal, or due date printed on it. This works across document types: passports and ID cards, insurance policies, utility bills, lease contracts, and more.

If the date isn’t picked up automatically — a faded print, an unusual layout — you can add or correct it yourself in a couple of taps from the document’s detail screen. Either way, once a date is set, the reminder is live.

Reminders arrive as a push notification on your phone, with a copy kept in your in-app notifications so you can find it again later. Passports and ID documents get an earlier heads-up than a one-off bill, since renewing an ID usually takes longer than paying an invoice — you’re not left scrambling the week something expires.

Some documents don’t just expire once — car insurance, home insurance, memberships — they renew on a cycle. For these, you can set a reminder to repeat monthly, quarterly, or yearly, independent of any single document. If you rescan a renewed policy from the same provider, ClearChive will offer to link it to the existing reminder instead of creating a duplicate.
